Empire The Final Season Uses Hip-Hop from Current Music
Empire Entertainment, founded by Hip-hop artist Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) and his formidable (now ex-wife) Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), have dominated primetime television for 6 years with their sons and their collective musical talent. In this final season, Lucious must face which of his three sons will take over due to a dire medical diagnosis, which draws his enemies towards toppling his Empire. Hakeem, his youngest (Bryshere Y. Gray), is a gifted musician but values fame over hard work. Jamal (Jussie Smollett) is his extremely talented middle child, but is shy but gay — which Lyon is embarrassed by. The oldest, Andre (Trai Byers), is the most business savvy, but lacks the magnetic personality his father feels is essential to run a business.
As the saga concludes, Current Music is proud to be part of this historical Pop culture phenomenon with the inclusion of the fierce Hip-hop song by rapper Queen D.
