“NBC News Daily” is an American daytime news program that premiered on NBC and NBC News Now on September 12, 2022. The program is hosted by Kate Snow, Aaron Gilchrist, Vicky Nguyen and Morgan Radford. Taking the place of the long running Days Of Our Lives soap opera, it airs on NBC (and the Peacock platform) monday through friday, live at 11am/PST 2pm/ET.
The theme is part of a package of themes and elements produced by Current Music and composed by SIKORA, a pop/rock record producing and songwriting duo consisting of Matthew Sikora and Liz Forde. The main (big, important sounding) theme that was slated for use, was replaced in favor of the “Pop Culture” variation. The original direction was already targeted to create something more modern and pop-oriented, while still having a nod to traditional elements. This last minute change worked out perfectly. The entire package of variations and elements is used throughout the show.
