East Of Eden (Netflix

We are proud that the production team selected Current Music license two pieces of music for the new Netflix limited series, East of Eden, premiering, October 1, 2026!
These patriotic pieces are woven into a scene on a train platform. Performed by a small town band, the music frames a major speech by Adam Trask as he prepares to ship the very first refrigerated lettuce from California to the East Coast in his newly invented ice box cars.

The 7-episode adaptation was written and executive produced by Zoe Kazan, marking a beautiful historical link over 70 years after her grandfather, Elia Kazan, directed the legendary 1955 film version.
Based on John Steinbeck’s masterpiece, this sweeping period drama follows the deeply fractured core of the Trask family. The adaptation centers directly on the complex dynamic between Christopher Abbott (as Adam Trask) and Florence Pugh (Cathy Ames), alongside their fraternal twin sons, Cal and Aron—played by Joseph Zada and Joe Anders - as the next generation grapples with their family’s haunting legacy.
