“Eileen” – String Orchestra Arrangement of “Silent Night”

Based on the Hemingway Foundation/PEN award novel by Ottessa Moshfegh, “Eileen” is a dark drama/thriller about an odd young woman named Eileen (Thomasin McKensie), who works in a juvenile detention center and her fascination with Dr. Rebecca St. John (Anne Hathaway), which leads her to a dark, self-awakening.

The story takes place a week before Christmas and Current Music was tapped to create a lush, peaceful and melancholy string orchestra version of Silent Night that scores the montage of a Christmas pageant, which is performed by the inmates of the detention center.

The arrangement was created by Current Music’s frequent collaborator, Aram Mandossian, and produced by Maddie Madsen, Current Music’s CCO, for the scene.
