World Long Drive Championship (Golf Channel)

Golf Channel reached out to us again for a new theme and sonic package for The World Long Drive Championship. They goal was to switch it up from the one they have been using the past 3 years, also created by Current Music. Like the event, this was a competition for the new theme and with the talents of our exclusive partners at the commercial label R3GMA, we were victorious.

The new theme is a powerful rock song, written and performed by the EDM artist SLVRFX. Our music will open, close and run throughout the competition, which takes place annually in October. Like our previous theme, this one will be used for years to come.

The World Long Drive Championships is an annual world championship in long drive golf driving, hosted since 1975. The finalists of the competition can often hit the ball over 400 yards, over 100 yards longer than the average professional PGA golfer, although many of the drives are in the 360-400 yard range and some have won previous competitions with drives within this range and even less in earlier years of the competition.

The 2016 competition airs on Golf Channel on October 11th and 12th, with a 1 Hour Special on NBC in December.
