Chicago Med (NBC)

From Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" and "Chicago" franchises), "Chicago Med" is an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city's newest state-of-the-art trauma center and into the lives of the courageous doctors, nurses and staff who hold it all together.  Relationships are forged in the chaos of the emergency room, where the team tackles cases inspired by topical events. Familiar faces from the city's police ("Chicago P.D.") and fire departments make appearances as the rich world continues to grow.

The hit show needed a song for an episode which reveals that 2 of the cast members are quite good musicians.  The scene would show them performing with their band, to the surprise of the other characters on the show.

The producers wanted an unusual modern piece featuring a virtuoso violin player and good pianist, but they had ruled out jazz and classical, so this was a fun challenge.  We sent a duet which they loved, which then evolved into a 5 piece group that also included bass, percussion and xylophone. Our final version is performed in the episode called “Extreme Measures” initially airing October 20, 2016.
